A Message to All St Mirren Fans

The time has come for all the talking to stop and action to be taken.

After much negotiating and deliberation we have agreed a deal in principal with the selling consortium to purchase their 52% shareholding in St Mirren Football Club in a way that is sustainable, engages the entire St Mirren community and also recognises the importance of the existing shareholders of the club both large and small.

We have until June 15th 2012 to get the required support.

For this to happen we need the St Mirren community to get behind the CIC and pledge their support in whatever way they can. There are three ways in which you can help make this happen.

Individual CIC Membership

Individuals who are able to pledge £10 a month or more for a vote on how the football club moves forward and want to experience the additional benefits membership brings to the St Mirren experience. Click to find out more and to register your interest.

87 Club Membership

CIC members who are prepared to pledge additional support in return for some “money can’t buy” interaction with the club. This will cost a total of £3000 for an initial 5 year membership and will include 20 shares in St Mirren Football Club. Click to find out more and to register your interest.

Non-Executive Membership

This is for individuals who would like a more exclusive matchday experience and relationship with the club. This will cost £25,000 for an initial 5 year membership and will include 1877 shares in St Mirren Football Club. Click to find out more and to register your interest.

Make no mistake it will not be easy to achieve the numbers we require for this to happen and it needs every fan to get behind this and encourage others to do the same.

Message from Gordon Scott

"I have long believed that football has to evolve to survive. Every other sport has changed to try and make it more exciting but footballs idea of evolution is to put an extra assistant behind the goals for European games and to introduce a new ball for every major championship.

We are unable to change our game if we want to play within the confines of world and European football so how can we evolve?

I have to admit that initially I was unsure about the CIC purchase of the controlling interest in the club but the more I have learned and got to understand it the more I see this as the way for football to evolve. By engaging the fans and giving them the opportunity to not only voice their opinions but actually do something with those opinions is very much in keeping with today's interactive society.

We have the opportunity to lead the way in Scottish football and I think we should seize that opportunity with great enthusiasm. My belief is such that I have committed my shareholding to the CIC to allow them to sell the 1877 shares packages. This allows us to reduce our borrowing and half the monthly amount required to pay back the loan making the whole deal much more sustainable.

I hope you will join me in creating our own form of evolution. This is only the beginning."
